About

Alright, so my name is Marissa Hegy. Basic information: I am from Sheridan, Wyoming. I run distance on my own and pole vault on my school’s track and field team. I am the oldest of six kids and have five dogs and three cats and a fish. (This post is really boring.) I like to draw, write, and read. I play the alto saxophone in my school band and can also play the clarinet, the flute, and the violin. I am treasurer for StuCo. I am going to be “Honored Queen” for a religious group called “Job’s Daughters,” (not “job” like work, but Job, like in the Bible). I speak Spanish semi-fluently.
Okay, enough of that. I came to HSI because when I was little I went to a camp called “KEY Camp” at Casper College, which is basically one week of HSI for 6th and 7th graders. I had a lot of fun both times I went to that, so I figured this would be fun. Fourteen people from my school applied to come and only three of us made it, so I guess we were pretty lucky.
This blog is basically going to be stuff that I am told to write and some random things I want to talk about. Actually, this whole blogging thing is really not my style. I really don’t like it. I don’t like the idea of the stuff I write outside of things like facebook posts being online for other people to see, or online at all. I don’t want to seem negative because this is a class on blogging, but to me, blogs just seem kind of pointless. They seem like the kind of thing that a person can get caught up reading and not actually do anything with his life. But I do think that keeping a file of pictures with short captions about what happened is kind of useful and cool, so that’s basically what I am doing here.
